I think the cheapest I've seen is Nreal at around a thousand bucks. But even so that's a bit pricey for me and I would really like a HoloLens or Magicleap device. What's the chances of either hitting 500 bucks by Christmas? lol. And while im on the subject, what would you receommend Magicleap One or Hololens 2?

Doubtful we will get to $500 by Christmas. Mad Gaze and Third Eye are 2 others in the price range coming out soon. I would recommend Magic Leap over Hololens simply because their goal is the consumer market and there will be a bigger app store.

Mad Gaze and Third Eye? These are new to me. Quite a lot of companies developing AR headsets now huh?

Those are the 3 we are keeping our eyes on for consumers. Magic Leap will not let adult content on their device.

Nreal is coming in at 500 bucks in the first Q of 2020, as posted by 3dhologroup viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1035

I think 2020 is going to be a big year with some serious developments put in motion.
